How PitchChanger handles your audio files and the small amount of data a website needs to work.

Your audio stays on your device

PitchChanger changes the pitch, key and speed of audio directly in your browser. When you open a song or a video, the file is read, processed and converted on your own device. Your files are not uploaded to our servers, so we cannot see, store or share them.

The processed result exists only in your browser until you download it. When you close or reload the page, the file and your settings are cleared.

No account needed

You can use PitchChanger without signing up. We do not ask for your name, email address or payment details to use the tools.

Preferences stored in your browser

Two small preferences are kept on your device so the site looks the way you chose:

  • Language: a cookie named PARAGLIDE_LOCALE remembers the language you selected, and your browser's local storage notes when you have picked a language or closed the language suggestion, so it is not shown again.
  • Theme: your light or dark mode choice is saved in your browser's local storage.

These preferences are used only to display the site, not for advertising or tracking. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Technical data handled by our hosting provider

Like every website, PitchChanger is delivered by a hosting provider that receives standard technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This information is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse, and is kept only as long as those purposes require.

Emails you send us

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and keep the conversation for as long as your request needs.

Children

PitchChanger is a general audience tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If a new feature changes how data is handled, for example adding analytics, we will update this page before the change takes effect and revise the date at the top.
